It's messy to replace the ink absorbing pads most manufacturers want you to replace the all-in-one if the printer is out of warranty when these pads are full of waste ink. See page 71 of the manual available on the product support page. This has nothing to do with the scanner problem.
Do you mean the Epson 元82? If so, are the two lights blinking in an alternating pattern? Then the blinking lights indicate that one of the printer's ink absorbing pads are near or at their end of life.
